The New Quality Productivity Center of Jiangsu Province released the 2025 list of provincial-level unicorn and gazelle enterprises on Sept. 24. This year, 6, 69, and 70 Suzhou-based enterprises were selected as provincial-level unicorn enterprises, potential unicorn enterprises and gazelle enterprises in Jiangsu, making the numbers of such enterprises in Suzhou reach 38, 289, and 556, respectively.
Currently, Suzhou has gathered 12 global unicorn enterprises, ranking sixth in the country. And it has 21 national-level unicorn enterprises, ranking fourth in the country. The number of its provincial-level unicorn enterprises, potential unicorn enterprises, and gazelle enterprises accounts for 38%, 55% and 37% of Jiangsu’s total, all ranking first in the province.
In the future, Suzhou will make stepped-up efforts to further the implementation of supportive policies and provide life-cycle services to encourage sci-tech enterprises to grow bigger and stronger, so as to inject new impetus into high-quality development.
