The 22nd edition of the list of the World’s 500 Most Influential Brands, exclusively compiled by the World Brand Lab, was unveiled on Dec. 17 in New York, USA. China occupied 50 seats in the top 500, the same number as last year, firmly securing the third position. Among the Chinese brands selected, there were 5 brands from Suzhou, i.e. Hengli, Shenghong, Hengtong, Bosideng, and Tongding ranking 347th, 369th, 386th, 449th, and 496th, respectively. Hengli, Shenghong, Hengtong and Bosideng were also selected as “outstanding Chinese brands”.
The World’s 500 Most Influential Brands is judged on the basis of a brand’s global influence. Brand influence refers to a brand’s ability to develop and capture markets and make profits. Based on three key indicators of brand influence, namely market share, brand loyalty and global leadership, World Brand Lab tracked more than 8,000 leading brands around the globe this year to develop the World’s 500 Most Influential Brands list.
Four of the five Suzhou-based brands on the list are headquartered in Wujiang District. Among them, Hengli Group has secured a spot on the ranking for 8 consecutive years, moving up 16 places compared with last year. Over the years, the enterprise, which is committed to creating an internationally renowned brand, has achieved remarkable results in technological transformation and brand cultivation.
Shenghong Group has been on the list of the World’s 500 Most Influential Brands for 5 consecutive years, moving up 11 places from last year. Adhering to the innovation-driven development strategy, it is leveraging artificial intelligence to boost green development and gain increasing brand influence.
